The Äuesow House ( Russian Дом-музей Ауэзова ) is a museum in the Kazakh city of Almaty . The museum was founded in 1962 and has more than 150,000 different exhibits.

The biographical museum of the Kazakh writer Muchtar Äuesow was founded in 1963. It is located in the house in the center of Almaty where Äuesow spent his last ten years before his death. With a collection of around 150,000 exhibits and an exhibition area of ​​480 square meters, it is one of the most important literary museums in Almaty. The exhibits include bequests, works of art , photographs and other items.

building

The museum building is located on one of the city's central streets, Abai Avenue in the center of Almaty. It was built by the architect G. Gerasimow. Today the building is one of the historical and cultural monuments of national importance in Kazakhstan.
