The 4th Fallschirmjäger-Division (short: 4th Fsjg.-Div. ) Was a major unit of the Luftwaffe of the German Wehrmacht during the Second World War . The division was set up on November 5, 1943 in the Perugia area in Italy . The large association was deployed in Italy throughout the war. Here the unit was also broken up by Allied troops on April 20, 1945 in the Padua area when retreating through the Po Valley towards the edge of the Alps .
