- Doric settlers from Corinth and Corfu found the colony Epidamnos (today Durrës ) in southern Illyria .

- In the summer, Nabopolassar moves as a general with his troops to Babylon and frees the city from the Assyrian occupation after a day of fighting . The remaining army of the Assyrian king Sîn-šarru-iškun flees to Assyria. Babylon is now under the protection of Nabopolassar.
- The Assyrian army arrives in Akkad on September 15 (12th Ululu : 14-15 September) . The temple Šasanaku is after his sacking on fire.
