- Year of accession of the Assyrian and Babylonian king Sennacherib (705 to 704 BC): his predecessor, Sarru-kīn II , is killed. On August 8th (12th Abu : August 7th - 8th) Sennacherib is already documented in sources as the Assyrian king.
