The residential high-rise 740 Park Avenue is traditionally one of the most elite addresses in New York on Park Avenue in Manhattan . Only representatives of the super-rich America live here, such as the Vanderbilts , Rockefellers , Bouviers and Chryslers. The builder was James T. Lee , grandfather of Jacqueline Kennedy . The building was built in 1929 to designs by Rosario Candela and Arthur Loomis Harmon. They were partners in the office of Shreve, Lamb and Harmon . The building comprises 31 units and has the highest ceilings and widest hallways on Park Avenue. The Art Deco facade is made of limestone .

The corner lot is also at 71 East 71st Street .
