ASRock Inc. is a manufacturer of mainboards , industrial PCs and HTPCs based in Taiwan under the direction of Ted Hsu. The company was founded in 2002 and is owned by Pegatron Corporation .

history

ASRock was originally spun off from ASUSTeK (Asus) in 2002 to compete with companies like Foxconn in the OEM market. Since then, ASRock has also been able to increase its presence in the retail market with individual components . Plans to continue to lead the company to the top of the industry emerged in 2009 after the company successfully completed its initial public offering on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

In 2011, ASRock sold eight million motherboards. ECS and MSI each sold around seven million mainboards during the period. According to a DigiTimes report , ASRock is the world's third largest motherboard manufacturer behind ASUSTeK and Gigabyte . This is significant growth compared to 2009. For the first time, ASRock was placed in front of ECS and MSI in 2010 , making ASRock one of the most important mainboard manufacturers.

Products and Services

In addition to mainboards, ASRock also produces mini PCs. In 2012 ASRock entered the market for industrial PCs and server mainboards. ASRock has also been active in the GPU business since 2018 and manufactures graphics solutions of the AMD Polaris series under the Phantom Gaming brand.
