The Aargau Pension Fund (APK) based in Aarau is an autonomous Swiss pension fund . It insures the state staff of the canton of Aargau , the staff of its independent institutions and the employees of its affiliated employers within the framework of the 2nd pillar .

The Aargau Pension Fund was founded in 1908 on the private initiative of the cantonal officials at the time and is now an independent public-law institution with its own legal personality . At the end of 2011, a total of 187 employers with 27,468 actively insured persons and 8,709 pension recipients were affiliated with it.

Legal bases

The legal basis is formed by the Federal Act on Occupational Old-Age, Survivors 'and Disability Pension Plans , the Federal Act on Freedom of Movement in Occupational Old-Age, Survivors' and Disability Pension Plans , the associated ordinances and the decree on the Aargau Pension Fund . The legal bases also include the regulations as well as the statutes and insurance conditions of the Aargau Pension Fund.

organization

The highest body of the Aargau Pension Fund is the Assembly of Delegates. This represents the insured as well as the pension recipients and comprises 100 delegates elected for four years. The strategic management of the pension fund is the responsibility of the board of directors , which is composed equally of five employer and employee representatives and is also elected for four years. The day-to-day operations are managed by the two-person management.
