Abdülhakim Arvâsi

Abdülhakim Arvâsi (born 1865 in Van ; died 1943 in Ankara ) was a Sunni Islamic legal scholar ( Mujtahid ) in the late period of the Ottoman Empire and the founding of Turkey .

He was a student of Seyyid Fehîm Arvâsî and taught in Van for 30 years. When the Russian army occupied the eastern part of the Ottoman Empire, he moved to Istanbul. There he worked in several madrasas and mosques. One of his most important students was Hüseyin Hilmi Işık .
