Adam Benzwi

Adam Benzwi , Professor hc (born February 1, 1965 in San Diego , California ) is the American conductor , pianist and musical director of the musical / show course at the Berlin University of the Arts . He has lived in Berlin since 1984.

At the age of 12 he made his first public appearances as a pianist. He accompanies well-known artists such as Dagmar Manzel, Andrea Sawatzki, Walter Schmidinger, Ralf Wolter, Helmut Baumann , Gisela May , Angelika Milster , Désirée Nick , Angela Winkler , Judy Winter , Daniela Ziegler , Wolfram Koch and Anne Sofie von Otter in their solo concerts. From 2003 to 2019 he was a member of the technical committee of the national singing competition . He is responsible for the musical arrangement of productions at various theaters, currently mainly at the Komische Oper Berlin and responsible for the musical direction.
