Adolph Kullak

Adolph Kullak (born February 23, 1823 in Meseritz , † December 25, 1862 in Berlin ) was a German pianist and music writer.

Life

Adolph Kullak, the brother of the founder of the Neue Akademie der Tonkunst , Theodor Kullak , is important to this day for his writings on music theory. His main works are Das Musikalisch-Schöne, a contribution to the aesthetics of music and the aesthetics of piano playing from 1860. He also worked as a piano teacher and as an author for the Neue Berliner Musikzeitung .
