Aflenz basin
The Aflenz basin with the main town Aflenz is an inner-alpine basin in Styria . It extends from Turnau in the northeast to Thörl in the southwest.
Geologically it lies on the border of the Northern Limestone Alps and the Grauwackenzone and is part of the Noric Depression .
The Aflenz Basin is also important as the location of the Lanzen-Turnau airfield .
