The Acrobatics & Equipment Group Winterthur is a Swiss sports acrobatics club from Winterthur .

history

The club was the 1982 devices squad Winterthur founded as a section of Damenriege Winterthur. Ten years ago, in 1992, parallel to the establishment of the Swiss Acrobatics Association, the club broke away from the women's team and has been independent ever since. Since then, the association has organized the international Winti-Cup every two years, a major international sport acrobatics event with participants from all countries. Since 1995, the association has participated in the Swiss evenings of all issues of the Gymnaestrada (1995, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2011) and competed in various European and world championships in acrobatics. In 2009 the name was changed to Akrobatik & Geräteriege Winterthur. In 2012, the Winti Cup was also the venue for the First Open Swiss Championships in acrobatics, where the majority of the championship titles went to athletes from the home club. In the same year, the association also took part in the television show The Greatest Swiss Talents with its 28-strong show group WintiAkro and advanced to the semi-finals there.
