Alaska Wilderness Lake is an American documentary from the year 1971 .

The naturalist Dr. Theodore Walker embarks on an eight-month expedition to Baranof Island , a mountainous island in Alaska's southwest. He sets up camp on the shores of the elongated Eva Lake and studies fauna and flora there. From the snowmelt in spring to the first snowfall in autumn, Dr. Walker's life in and around the lake. He films with cameras on land and also under water.

Walker observes salmon, trout, salamanders, elk, bears, killer whales, seals and eagles. In addition to his observation of the flora and fauna, Dr. Walker also made his own transition from a city dweller to a ranger.

In 1972 the film was nominated for an Oscar in the category of Best Documentary .
