Albert IV of Bogen

Albert IV (* around 1191; † January 15, 1242 ) was a count of Bogen and Windberg; Vogt of Oberaltaich and Windberg.

He was the son and heir of Count Albert III. von Bogen (* July 19, 1165; † December 20, 1197) and his wife Ludmilla von Böhmen (* around 1170; † August 4, 1240 in Landshut). His stepfather was Ludwig I.

In 1209/10 he moved with Emperor Otto IV . to Italy. Albert IV was on a crusade in Egypt in 1217/1218. In 1234/35 he was in Palestine. From 1237 to 1239 he supported his outlawed cousin, Duke Friedrich II . from Austria. After his death, all possessions passed to his half-brother, Duke Otto II , from the Wittelsbacher family . Albert IV was the last Count of Bogen.
