Aldo Arencibia

Gregorio Aldo Arencibia Guerra (born March 12, 1947 in Havana ) is a former Cuban cyclist .

Aldo Arencibia won the Tour of Cuba three times in his career (1972, 1976 and 1980 ). In 1972 and 1978 he also won the mountain classification of the tour and in 1972 also the jersey of the best in points. In 1971 and 1978 he took second place in the overall ranking, 1973, 1974 and 1977 third.

Arencibia took part in the Summer Olympics three times. At the 1972 Games in Munich , he started in three races. In the road race over 182.4 km, he finished 75th. In the 100 km team time trial, he finished 16th with his compatriots Roberto Menéndez , Pedro Rodríguez and Raúl Marcelo Vázquez and in the 4,000 m team pursuit on the track, he finished 18th with Roberto Heredero , Roberto Menéndez and Raúl Marcelo Vázquez.
