Alexander T. Teichmann
Alexander Tobias Teichmann (born February 15, 1952 in Hösbach ) is a German gynecologist and obstetrician .
Life
Alexander Teichmann was born in 1952 in the Lower Franconian district of Aschaffenburg in the Lower Spessart region. From 1969 to 1975 he studied medicine at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . Here he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD . From 1975 and 1976 he worked at the Göttingen University and in the Witzenhausen Hospital , and in 1976 and 1977 in the gynecological-obstetric department of the Neu-Mariahilf Hospital in Göttingen. In 1977 Teichmann began working as a research assistant at the Göttingen University Women's Clinic. Here he qualified as a professor in 1982 for gynecology and obstetrics. In 1981 he was certified as a specialist , was appointed senior physician in 1984 and a private lecturer in 1985. In 1988 Alexander T. Teichmann was appointed senior physician at the University Women's Clinic in Göttingen and in 1989 he was appointed professor . From 1991 to 2017 he was chief physician at the women's clinic in Aschaffenburg and head of the midwifery school there .

Honors
From 2008 to 2010, Teichmann was a member of the executive board of the German Society for Gynecology and Obstetrics as secretary , as well as a member of the board of the professional association of gynecologists and first chairman of the working group of leading doctors (BLFG). In 2009 Alexander T. Teichmann was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Democritus University of Thrace ( Greece ).
criticism
In 2002 Teichmann came under fire because of its proximity to the pharmaceutical industry and manufacturers of hormone preparations.
