Alexandre Alphonse (born June 17, 1982 in Saint-Leu-la-Forêt , France ) is an international football player with French nationality and Caribbean roots. He was under contract with Servette FC until the summer of 2019 .

Career

The striker joined FC Zurich in 2005 on loan from FC La Chaux-de-Fonds, initially for a year. After a convincing 2005/06 season with eight goals in 21 league appearances, Alphonse was firmly committed. With FC Zurich he became Swiss champions in 2006 and 2007 . From the summer of 2007 he had a permanent place in the team and distinguished himself as a reliable goalscorer. In the 2008/09 season he came to 13 goals this season in 30 games. In 2012 he moved to the French first division team Stade Brest , where he had to experience relegation to the second division as an outsider in his second year after irregular appearances in his first season.

After four years in Brest, he moved back to the canton of Geneva to join the traditional Swiss club Servette FC, which had just been promoted back to the second-rate Challenge League . There he received a one-year contract with an option for another season.

Alexandre Alphonse also plays for the Guadeloupe selection . At the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2009 he was in the Guadeloupe squad and scored a goal in the win against Panama in the preliminary round.
