Alexis Quarters

The Alexisquartier is a residential area under construction in the Neuperlach district of the Bavarian capital, Munich . It is named after the Alexisweg , which borders the planning area on its eastern side and is named after the German writer Willibald Alexis (1798–1871).

history

The quarter on the south-eastern outskirts of Munich is being built on the site of the former Piederstorfer gravel works, one of the last large open spaces in Munich. The preliminary planning started in July 2014. In 2014, the two property developers Demos Wohnbau and Büschl Unternehmensgruppe launched a restricted planning competition in coordination with the Munich city administration. The winner was the design by Riegler Riewe Architects, Graz, Yellow Z Urban Planning, Berlin, and Lad Landschaftsarchitektur Diekmann, Hanover. On an area of ​​12.8 hectares, around 1300 apartments for 3000 people, three day-care centers, retail stores as well as green and open spaces are to be built.
