Ali Gerba (* 4. September 1981 in Yaounde , Cameroon as Ali Ngon ) is a Canadian football player .
society
Gerba began his professional career in the USL First Division at Montreal Impact , for which he set a new club record as a newcomer with six goals and two assists . After an unsuccessful season in Major League Soccer at Miami Fusion , he returned to the USL First Division and played there for various clubs. He was particularly successful for Toronto Lynx , where he scored 23 goals in two seasons.
A successful appearance at the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2005 with three games and one goal gave him a move to Europe for GIF Sundsvall , whom he could not save from relegation to the Superettan despite five goals in eleven games . He then signed a three-year contract with the first division club IFK Göteborg , where he was loaned out several times.
In January 2008 he finally moved to the German third division club FC Ingolstadt 04 , with whom he was able to achieve promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. After the rise he received no more contract and moved to England. There he met for the Milton Keynes Dons ten times in 24 games; his contract was not extended at the end of the season.
