Alifa Rifaat
Alifa Rifaat ( Arabic أليفة رفعت, DMG Alīfa Rifʿat ; * June 5, 1930 in Cairo ; † January 1996 ibid) was an Egyptian writer .
In her stories she describes the fate of Egyptian girls and women in a patriarchal society.
