Almanci is the second album by the German-speaking rapper Alpa Gun . It was released on July 9, 2010 on the Sektenmuzik label .

Music genre

The beats consist mainly of hard bass and dark strings. The cycle usually stays the same, so the flow appears uniform.

background

The title of the album refers to people living in Germany with German or Turkish citizenship and Turkish ancestors, literally “German nationals”. It was produced by Beste Beatz. Autobiographical who am I? and Sor Bir Bana . In Sor Bir Bana (something like: “Ask me”), Alpa expresses his turmoil between Germany and Turkey, which makes him homeless. For this song Sido came into the studio, who rapped in Turkish with Alpa Gun, originally B-Tight was also announced for a cooperation in Turkish. However, he only worked together with Sido on Broken Glass . Alpa Gun said Sido's Turkish rap style sounds "relatively authentic". Alpa Gun's rap crew “Berliner Einsatzkommando” (BEK) can be heard at So Strasse .

reception

The Weser-Kurier judged the album as “hard but warm” and found that the “main city trap” can convince. He also wrote that Alpa Gun raps “hard and without consideration, but with a pretty good flow”. The music week wrote that Alpa Gun “ improved significantly on Almanci compared to the debut album.” Backspin magazine rated Alpa Gun's technique and lyrics as “rather modest” and complained that it “unfortunately did not develop greatly”. He still criticizes the "bad circumstances on the street". The Sor Bir Bana cooperation is a "good mood song with catchy tunes".
