Alna (Oslo)

Alna is an eastern district of the Norwegian capital Oslo . It has 49,801 inhabitants (2020), of which 33.5% are ethnic minorities (2005). The district has a size of 13.7 km². Alna's name is derived from the Alnaelva river that flows through the district. Alna was created with the territorial reform in Oslo on January 1, 2004 and includes the former districts of Hellerud with the exception of Trasop , which fell to Østensjø ; also Furuset , with the exception of Høybråten , which fell to Stovner and parts of Teisen , which formerly belonged to Helsfyr-Sinsen belonged to.
