American Statistical Association

The American Statistical Association (ASA) ( German : American Statistical Association) is an association of statisticians with more than 17,000 members worldwide.

The ASA was founded in Boston in 1839 . She publishes several academic journals, including the Journal of the American Statistical Association (JASA) and the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics (JBES). In addition, the organization awards a number of science prizes and honors. Among other things, the ASA Fellowships are awarded annually. The current president of the ASA is Nathaniel Schenker (as of 2014).
