Amos Arbor (born January 26, 1895 in Waubaushene , Ontario ; † December 1, 1943 ) was a Canadian ice hockey player who, in his active time from 1915 to 1924, for the Montréal Canadiens , Hamilton Tigers and Toronto St. Patricks in the National Hockey League .

Career

Amos Arbor began his career as a hockey player with the Montréal Canadiens , for which he made his debut in the National Hockey Association in the 1915/16 season and with whom he immediately won the prestigious Stanley Cup . He then played for a year for their league rivals, the Army Team Toronto 228th Battalion , before he was drafted with his regiment in the First World War in 1917 . After the end of the war, the attacker returned to Canada in 1918 , where he received a contract as a free agent with his ex-club from Montréal, which now played in the National Hockey League , the successor to the NHA.

On November 26, 1921 Arbor was given together with Harry Mummery in exchange for Sprague Cleghorn to the Hamilton Tigers , for which he was on the ice for two years before he played in 21 games for the Toronto St. Patricks in the 1923/24 season scored four scorer points, including one goal. Following this season, the winger ended his career at the age of 29.
