Amphoe Tha Takiap (in Thai : อำเภอ ท่า ตะเกียบ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the east of the province of Chachoengsao . The Chachoengsao Province is located in the eastern part of the central region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Sanam Chai Khet province of Chachoengsao, the Amphoe Khao Chakan , Wang Nam Yen and Wang Sombun in the province of Sa Kaeo , Amphoe Kaeng Hang Maeo in Chanthaburi province and Amphoe Bo Thong and Ko Chan in Chonburi Province .
history
Tha Takiap was initially set up on April 1, 1991 as a "branch circle" ( King Amphoe ) by separating two tambon from the Sanam Chai Khet district . On December 5, 1996, Tha Takiap was promoted to Amphoe.
