District court Wetzlar
The district court of Wetzlar is a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Wetzlar in Hesse and one of four district courts in the district of the regional court of Limburg .
Place of jurisdiction and jurisdiction
The court has its seat at Wertherstrasse 1 and 2 in Wetzlar. The judicial district includes the communities Aßlar , Bischoffen , Braunfels , Ehringshausen , Hohenahr , Hüttenberg , Lahnau , Leun , Schöffengrund , Solms , Waldsolms and Wetzlar.

The listed service building A in Wertherstrasse 2 was built between 1909 and 1911 together with a prison. The courthouse has a roughly V-shaped floor plan and three floors. The preliminary draft came from the construction officer Paul Thoemer in the Prussian Ministry of Public Works , who designed a number of courthouses in Prussia . The total cost of building the court, prison and service buildings was 333,500 marks .

With the German Courts Constitution Act of January 27, 1877, which came into force on October 1 , 1877, the existing district court of Wetzlar was repealed and the district of Wetzlar was divided into three district court districts. These were the Ehringshausen District Court , the Braunfels District Court and the Wetzlar District Court.
