For Anchenespepi III. a queen pyramid was built southwest of the pyramid of her grandfather Pepi I. With a side length of 15.80 m, it is the smallest of at least eight queen tombs built here. The question of why Anchenespepi was buried here and not in the pyramid district of her husband Pepi II has not yet been resolved.
