Not so Giske

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Anders Giske (born November 22, 1959 in Kristiansund ) is a former Norwegian football player .

Life

The defender from Norway joined the 1. Bundesliga for 1. FC Nürnberg in 1983 . He quickly made a name for himself in Germany and also became interesting for other clubs. In 1984 he moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen . After he had a regular place there in the first year, he only made five appearances in the first half of the 1985/86 season. Dissatisfied with this, he went back to Nuremberg in the winter of 1986, only to switch back to the Rhine in 1989 - this time to the other side to 1. FC Köln . With the exception of one disappointing half-year in Leverkusen, Anders Giske was always a regular in his clubs and made 38 appearances in the national team of his home country.

His daughter Madeleine played for the Norwegian national soccer team and was in the squad for the 2011 World Cup in Germany.
