André Niedostadek

André Patrick Niedostadek (born February 3, 1970 in Telgte ) is a German legal scholar, author and professor specializing in business law, labor law and social law at the Harz University of Applied Sciences .

Career

After graduating from the Collegium Johanneum Schloß Loburg, Niedostadek studied law at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster and the University of Wales in Aberystwyth. In 1996 he passed the first state examination in law. Two years later he received his doctorate in Münster with Bernhard Großfeld with a dissertation on the subject of the legal protection of computer programs in Great Britain - copyright law and patent law . In the meantime, he spent a research stay at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge University. After completing his legal clerkship, he passed the second state examination in 2000 and at the same time completed a further training course in mediation at the FernUniversität Hagen. In 2004 he obtained the title of Masters of Laws (LL.M.) with a focus on intellectual property law at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf.

After the assessor exam, Niedostadek worked in various functions in the practice. From 2001 to 2008 he initially worked in management consultancy and as a lawyer as well as on the board of directors of NRW.BANK in Düsseldorf. At the same time, he was teaching at the Fresenius University and the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management .

In 2008, he switched to a substitute professorship for private law and corporate law at the Harz University of Applied Sciences . Since the winter semester 2010 he has held the professorship for business law, labor law and social law.

Niedostadek publishes on various topics. He is the author and editor of specialist and study literature and the author of a travel book.
