André Schluchter

André Schluchter (born April 16, 1951 in Olten ) is a Swiss historian and cultural worker .

After graduating in 1978, Schluchter worked as an assistant to Markus Mattmüller at the University of Basel and as a lecturer at the Zofingen Cantonal School. He received his doctorate in 1987. Since 1992 he has been "scientific advisor and editor of the Canton of Solothurn for the Swiss Historical Lexicon ". He has been in charge of Waldegg Castle since 1997 . for which he also wrote some articles. He is also the project manager of the Solothurn canton history.
