The Andreaeopsida ( Klaffmoose ) are a class of the deciduous moss (Bryophyta).
features
The protonema is ribbon-shaped with one- to two-cell row rhizoids and sometimes lobed appendages.
The acrocarp gametophyte is similar to that of the Bryopsida . The small, rarely larger plants form reddish to blackish lawns or cushions.
The structure of the sporophyte differs greatly from that of the other deciduous mosses: a seta is usually missing, instead of this the capsule is lifted up by a pseudopodium as in the Sphagnopsida . The capsule neck, lid and peristome are also missing. Spore sac and capsule wall are grown together. The capsule is opened through (usually 4) longitudinal cracks.

- Order Andreaeales Limpr.
- Family Andreaeaceae Dumort., With 3 genera and 92 species
- Order Andreaeales Limpr.
- Subclass Andreaeobryidae Ochyra
- Order Andreaeobryales BMMurray
- Family Andreaeobryaceae Steere, only 1 species Andreaeobryum macrosporum found in northwestern North America.
- Order Andreaeobryales BMMurray
