Approach view

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The approach view is the visibility that the vehicle driver needs in order to be able to drive safely onto a higher-level road from a stationary position and at the prescribed distance . The approach view is a verifiable variable in road and path construction .

If the necessary approach visibility is not ensured by the structural course of the road, this can be achieved with regulatory measures such as speed restrictions , stopping bans , or the installation of traffic lights or mirrors.
