The Angolan men's national basketball team represents Angola at international basketball matches. With eleven title wins, all of which she has achieved since 1989, she is the most successful participant in the African Championships , which makes her a regular participant in World Championships and the Olympic Games. She received international attention, especially at the 1992 Olympic Games , when she was the first opponent of the first US dream team . At the World Championships in 2002, 2006 and 2010, she survived the preliminary round.

Most of the players are recruited from the domestic league. Also active in Europe (mostly in Angola's former colonial power Portugal) were Jean-Jacques Conceição , David Dias , Aníbal Moreira , Gerson Monteiro and the former Bundesliga player Joaquim Gomes .
