Ania Rösler (born May 14, 1982 in Paris ) is a former German handball player .

Career

Rösler began playing handball at TuS Metzingen at the age of four , where she then played for 18 years. From 2004, the 1.76 m tall back player was under contract with Bundesliga club 1. FC Nürnberg , where she held the playmaker position and was captain. On February 5, 2009, she announced that she would be leaving Nuremberg after the season. She signed with HC Leipzig shortly afterwards . In the summer of 2012, Ania Rösler joined the second division club SG BBM Bietigheim , for which her sister Milena Rösler also played. In 2013 she was promoted to the Bundesliga with SG BBM. After the 2013/14 season, she joined Frisch Auf Göppingen . A year later she ended her career.

International career

She played 57 games for the German national team and made her international debut on October 13, 2006 in Hamm against the Netherlands . She was part of the German national team for the 2009 Women's Handball World Championship in China .
