Ann-Louise Carina Edstrand (born April 25, 1975 in Örnsköldsvik ) is a former Swedish national ice hockey player who has participated in three Olympic ice hockey tournaments , nine world championships and two European championships for the Swedish women's national team .
Career
Edstrand started her career with MODO Hockey in her hometown before moving to Nacka HK in 1995. Between 1998 and 2000 she was active for the AIK Solna .
Between 2000 and 2006 she played for Mälarhöjden / Bredäng hockey , then for the Segeltorps IF . She won the Swedish championship eight times ; 1996 and 1998 with the Nacka HK; 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006 with Mälarhöjden / Bredäng and 2008 with Segeltorps.
At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City , she won with the Swedish women's team bronze medal and four years later at the Winter Olympics in Turin , the silver medal. Edstrand also took part in the Winter Olympics in Nagano .
In total, Edstrand completed 201 caps for Sweden, in which she scored 27 goals.
