Annett Groeschner

Annett Gröschner (* 1964 in Magdeburg ) is a German writer and journalist .

life and work

After graduating from high school in 1982, Annett Gröschner became a dresser at the Magdeburg Theater . She has lived in Berlin since 1983. From 1983 to 1991 she studied German in East Berlin and Paris . From 1990 to 1991 Annett Gröschner was co-founder and employee of the women's magazine Ypsilon . Between 1992 and 1996 she worked as a historian for the Prenzlauer Berg Museum and since 1994 has participated in numerous research, book and exhibition projects. From 1994 to 1998 she was editor and publisher of the magazines Sklaven und Sklavenaufstand .

She is a member of the PEN Center Germany .

She has been a freelance writer and journalist since 1997. a. for the Berlin pages of the FAZ (1999–2002), Friday , the taz , Theater der Zeit , Literatures . Since March 2005 she has been a research assistant for the non-fiction research project at the University of Hildesheim and the Humboldt University in Berlin .

In 2020 Berliner Bürger * Stuben was published. Palimpsests and stories , in which articles in magazines and newspapers from the last ten years about the capital Berlin and Prenzlauer Berg as well as the Brandenburg area in particular are included. Gröschner writes about the rapid changes in the city of Berlin; for them the capital is a palimpsest , subject to perpetual overwriting.
