The Stillendorf residence is a noble residence in Bolzano with an extensive park. It is located on Wangergasse on the corner with Rauschertorgasse . It has been a listed building since 1982 .

A farm in Stillendorf ( "mansus ad Stillendorf" ) was mentioned in the notary register of Jakob Haas as early as 1237 . Stillendorf was originally just the field name for the area between Maretsch Castle and Rauschertorgasse. In 1301 a "Lancius de Stillendorf " is attested as a Bolzano inhabitant . The present residence was redesigned in the middle of the 17th century by the Tyrolean aristocratic Giovanelli family , later it came into the hands of the von Menz family and then via marriage (1770) and inheritance (1807) to the von Zallinger family, who had since 1637 Thurn (Bozen) residence . She changed the residence in the 19th century, expanded it with regular rows of windows and floor straps, and at the end of the century adopted the title of Stillendorf .

In 1897 Franz von Zallinger-Stillendorf gave the Eucharist the reason for the construction of the neighboring Sacred Heart Church and a monastery. A connecting corridor leads from the Stillendorf residence to the church. On Blood Sunday in Bolzano , April 24, 1921, the teacher Franz Innerhofer from Marling died while trying to protect a boy from fascists by gunshots in the entrance to the residence. A memorial plaque at the site of the accident reminds of this.

In the 1960s, Stillendorf also housed the housekeeping preschool of the Girls' Protection Association , headed by sister Hermenegildis Mayer from Caritas Socialis .
