Anthocercis fasciculata is a plant type from the genus Anthocercis in the family of the nightshade family (Solanaceae). It is endemic to Western Australia .

description

Anthocercis fasciculata is an upright shrub that reaches a height of up to 3.5 m. It is sparsely to moderately covered with simple glandular hairs . The sitting leaves are narrowly elliptical to narrowly obovate and have entire margins. In the upper part of the plant they are 11 to 45 mm long and 3 to 10 mm wide, the first leaves on young plants are larger.

The inflorescences are cymes . The flower stalks are 4 to 16 mm long. The cup has a length of 3 to 5 mm. The white colored crown has a length of 9 to 16 mm and the ovate, elliptical or elongated corolla lobes with a length of 4 to 9 mm have a truncated tip. The stamens are 4 to 6 mm long.

The elliptical to egg-shaped, often slightly pointed capsule fruits are 6 to 9 mm long. The seeds have a length of 1.4 to 2 mm.

Distribution and locations

This rare species is endemic to the Fitzgerald River National Park in southwestern Western Australia . It grows there on sandy soil in rocky quartz areas.

Systematics

Anthocercis fasciculata was 1859 Ferdinand Jacob Heinrich of Mueller in Fragmenta Phytographiae Australiae , 1, p 122 first described . The type material comes from the Phillips River in southwestern Western Australia. The specific epithet fasciculatus is derived from the Latin word for bundle and refers to the grouping of flowers.
