Antoine Kesia-Mbe Mindua

Antoine Kesia-Mbe Mindua (born December 31, 1956 in Mushie ) is a Congolese lawyer and judge at the International Criminal Court .

Live and act

Mindua studied from 1976 law and political science at the University of Kinshasa . There he obtained his master's degree in private and criminal law in 1982. He then worked as a prosecutor at the Kinshasa Military Court until 1983 . From 1982 to 1988 he taught civil and commercial law at the Gombe University School for Commerce . From 1988 he studied in Nancy , Strasbourg and Geneva , where he obtained diplomas in international law, comparative human rights studies and European Community law. In 1995 he received his doctorate in Geneva with a thesis on international public law. iur. From 1996 to 2001 he was Legal Officer at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda . He then served as the special envoy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the United Nations and other international organizations. He is also professor of international criminal law at the University of Kinshasa and has held visiting professorships at the University of Geneva.

From 2006 until the end of 2017 he was an ad litem judge at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia . He has been a judge at the International Criminal Court since March 11, 2015 .
