Anton Andrejewitsch Alichanow ( Russian Антон Андреевич Алиханов , born September 17, 1986 in Sukhumi ) is a Russian politician. He has been governor of Kaliningrad Oblast since October 6, 2016 .

He graduated from the Finance University of the Government of the Russian Federation , majoring in finance and credit, and law. In 2010 he entered the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation . In 2012, he graduated from Plekhanov Economic University with the degree of candidate of science with a doctoral thesis on corporate cost management. In 2013 he entered the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation . There he became head of the department for foreign trade regulation. In August 2015 he became a member of the advisory board in the Eurasian Economic Commission .

In September 2015 he became Minister of Agriculture and Industry and Deputy Prime Minister in Kaliningrad Oblast and Prime Minister there in July 2016. In October 2016 he was appointed Governor of Kaliningrad Oblast by Russian President Vladimir Putin to succeed Yevgeny Zinichev . He was confirmed in office in the gubernatorial elections on September 10, 2017. With a turnout of 39.4%, he received 81.1% of the votes cast.

In December 2017, Alichanov joined the United Russia party .

Anton Alichanow is married to the journalist Darja Abramowa (* 1986). The couple have two children.
