Anton Egger
Anton Egger (born May 15, 1932 in Öblarn ) is an Austrian professor emeritus for business administration .
Life
Egger studied from 1950 at the University of World Trade in Vienna . After obtaining his doctorate in 1954, he worked as an accounting expert in industry as well as an independent tax consultant .
His habilitation thesis was accepted by the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz in 1970 . From 1975 he was a full professor for business administration at this university. In 1985 he accepted the chair for corporate accounting and auditing at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, which he held until his retirement in September 2000.
Anton Egger's academic work is documented by a wealth of publications on various areas of accounting. Standard works of his work are the book publications "The Annual Financial Statements according to the Commercial Code" (originally written together with Helmut Samer) and the work "The Introduction to General Business Administration" (originally together with Karl Lechner and Reinbert Schauer). His special scientific interest has always been company valuation . He headed the specialist senate for business administration and organization of the chamber of tax consultants and auditors , and was involved in the revision of the expert report KFS / BW 1 (2006) (the relevant standard in Austria until 2014).
