Anton Mailly

Anton Chaurand Graf von Mailly (born August 19, 1874 in Gorizia , † May 30, 1950 in Vienna ) was an Austrian folklorist.

Life

Mailly was an official in the Department of Commerce. Self-taught, he dealt with folklore and local history topics, on which he brought out numerous publications.

Anton Mailly was buried in Vienna's central cemetery after his death . In 1959 Maillygasse in Vienna- Favoriten was named after him.
