Antonello Aglioti

Antonello Aglioti (born January 1, 1948 in Gerace ; † January 9, 2013 in Rome ) was an Italian theater and film director , costume and set designer .

Life

Aglioti graduated in architecture , initially devoted himself to painting and had numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad. With Memé Perlini he founded the La Maschera theater in the 1970s and directed several plays. As a costume and make-up artist, he worked with his friends and colleagues not only on many theater productions, but also on three films. He himself staged plays such as Il giardino dei ciliegi , which he himself filmed four years later, and by Puccini and Edmond Rostand with great success . His 2001 film Nessun'dorma has not yet been released.

Occasionally, Aglioti also worked for Italian television.
