The Labor Court in Frankfurt am Main , a labor court , is one of the seven labor courts in Hesse .

history

The Labor Court in Frankfurt am Main was set up with the Labor Court Act of 1926 and began its work in 1927. It was initially located on the premises of the Frankfurt District Court . After the seizure of power by the Nazis, the court was brought into line and the judicial staff replaced. With the Control Council Act No. 21 of March 30, 1946, the labor court was re-established after the courts were initially dissolved by the victorious powers after the collapse of 1945.

Seat of the Labor Court in Frankfurt am Main from 1948 in a Wilhelminian style villa on Karlstrasse. In 1961 the seat was relocated to the new courthouse at Adickesallee 36. The square building encloses an inner courtyard. In 1962 a fountain created by the artist Erich Kuhn was installed in the inner courtyard .

In May 2007, the Labor Court in Frankfurt am Main moved into its new offices in the west wing of the central building of the Gutleutstrasse administrative center.

The court has its seat in Frankfurt am Main . It is locally responsible for legal disputes from the district court districts of Frankfurt am Main, Bad Homburg vor der Höhe , Königstein im Taunus and the municipality of Kelsterbach from the district court district of Rüsselsheim. The local jurisdiction of the labor court in Frankfurt am Main arises in particular if the defendant has its seat in the Main-Taunus district, in the Hochtaunus district, in Kelsterbach or in Frankfurt am Main.

The labor court is located in the Gutleutviertel together with the Hessian regional labor court in the administrative center, which arose from the former Gutleut barracks.
