As can be seen from the detailed title, in addition to the usual villas and apartment buildings, more subordinate buildings and components were also published. In contrast to the competing magazine Architektonisches Album published by the Architects' Association in Berlin , the contributions were published without an explanatory text.

The individual booklets each contain six copperplate engravings and occasional chrome lithographs . 6 issues were published per year, a total of 201 by the time it was discontinued in 1886. The contributions reflect the development of architecture in Berlin and Potsdam from the Schinkel School to historicism .
