The Ariadne magazine. “Forum for Women's and Gender History” has been published since 1985. Up to issue 37/38 (2000) it had the subtitle “Almanac of the Archives of the German Women's Movement”.

It is the task of the magazine to present the foundation's main focus - “Historical women's and women's movement history” - for a broad audience in a variety of ways. This should not only be done by means of scientific contributions, which are illustrated with plenty of pictures if possible, but also through documentation. Ariadne sees himself as a mouthpiece for questions from the history and cultural studies.

It has appeared three times a year since 1985, and twice a year since 1990 (May and November). Each issue was and is still dedicated to a particular topic.
