Armónico

The Armónico is an instrument that was invented in 1924 by the Cuban musician Compay Segundo . Compay Segundo came up with the idea of building a new instrument out of tres and guitar : A guitar tuned to an octave, to which he added a seventh string in the middle in order to be able to produce better sounds and harmonies, hence the name Armónico.
