The Arte Journal is a newscast from Arte's studios in Strasbourg . It was originally called Arte Info .

It relies on a Franco-German editorial team and sees itself as a European news magazine with backgrounds and a multicultural approach. The topics dealt with include politics and culture.

Initially, the news magazine was alternately moderated by Jürgen Biehle and Catherine-Marie Degrace . The Tagesspiegel placed the magazine between typical short messages and the international journal (ZDF) and Kulturzeit (3sat). In 2010, Arte Info and Arte Kultur merged to form today's Arte Journal .

The format has been produced separately since 2012. The broadcast takes place in German every day during the week at 7:20 p.m., on the weekend at 7:10 p.m. (20 minutes) and from Monday to Friday at 12:50 p.m. (10 minutes) . The main moderators are Nazan Gökdemir and Jürgen Biehle. Delayed at 19:45 in France moderate Leila Kaddour-Boudadi and Marie Labory . Other team members include a. Annette Gerlach and Meline Freda .

On February 9, 2014, the Arte Journal Junior format for children was also launched .

Editor-in-chief

The chief editor is responsible for the information programs. Former editors-in-chief were u. a. from 1998 to 2000 Georg Schmolz , from 2001 to 2005 Gérard Saint-Paul and from 2006 to 2013 Pascal Guimier .

Guimier's successor has been Marco Nassivera since 2013 .
