Johan Arthur Häggblad (born June 14, 1908 in Nordmaling , † June 16, 1989 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish cross-country skier .

Career

Häggblad, who started for IFK Umeå , won the bronze medal with the relay at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Sollefteå in 1934 . He also came fourth there over 18 km and 50 km. Two years later he won the bronze medal with the relay at the Olympic Winter Games in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and also finished eighth over 18 km. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1938 , he ran in 13th place over 50 km. At the Holmenkollen Ski Festival in 1940, he came third in the 50 km run. In 1933, 1935, 1937 and 1940 he won the Wasalauf . He also took fourth place at the Wasalauf in 1931 and 1939, second in 1936 and seventh in 1941. In Swedish championships he won in 1935 over 15 kilometers and with the season of IFK Umeå and 1937 km above the 50th
