Artur Schütz

Artur Schütz (born April 17, 1915 in Dreihausen (Ebsdorfergrund) ; † February 22, 2001 there ) was a German physician and numismatic author.

Life

Artur Schütz studied medicine in Marburg and received his doctorate in 1942. He was a military doctor during World War II and was taken prisoner. Then he opened a doctor's practice in Dreihausen .

After giving up his practice, he studied history in Marburg and then began to publish numismatic articles. The focus of his research was on "The Hessian coins of the House of Brabant", the results of which are reported in the following volumes:
